Peonies

I really, really wanted to show off these beautiful flowers, but I had a hard time building an entire scene around them that would have them as a focal point, so I figured that a small showcase would be perfect!

I’m an absolute sucker for flowers, and these peonies from Nomad are so moody and romantic.

They come in two colours, both shown below, with three different variations for each, all of them having cute little scattered petals and leaves. Not only are they beautiful winter colours, but you could use them in every season as well.

Hedwig

I am never disappointed when Llorisen‘s releases. I know I’m a little bit behind on this one, but I really wanted to show it off, especially with all the different things that can be done to it!

This most recent build is a skybox that can be found at FaMESHed, and I’m totally in love with it, not only because I’ve been living in skyboxes for the past few years, but because of the classic, timeless style

This four room skybox has beautifully modeled doors and moldings, and a set of charming stairs in the main room. I think my favourite feature is the small end room, because while I can be used for anything, the extra HUDs can give it a tiled floor, perfect for a bathroom.

There are a ton of colours that can be mixed and matched if you decide to get the extra HUDs (which I seriously suggest you do). Why? Because each wall can be coloured individually, meaning you can have every single wall a different colour if you wanted!

Thankful

While I don’t actually celebrate American Thanksgiving (being Canadian and all), I’m actually doing a turkey dinner this year as my boyfriend, who happens to be American, has been visiting for the majority of November. This will be the first turkey dinner I cook!

I was really able to get myself into the spirit of things thanks to the incredible dinner set from Dust Bunny, who never ceases to amaze me with the quality of her creations. There’s every dish you’ve ever stuffed yourself with this time of year, from an amazing looking turkey (that I can only hope I’m able to replicate) to sides like gravy and cranberry sauce.

This has to be some of the best food I have ever seen in Second Life, from the quality of the mesh, to the shading and texturing, and Dust Bunny is consistently able to create delicious and realistic looking food every time she attempts to do so.

Brb, getting my fat pants.

Autumn Night

It has been a super busy few weeks for me. As I’m sure most of you have seen, my cat has been dealing with some medical issues that are hopefully behind us, and my boyfriend has been visiting from California.

There has still been a lot of beautiful releases I’ve been privileged to see. Out of everything I worked with for this look, my favourite has to be the adorable set of gourds {what next} released a few weeks back for Fifty Linden Friday.

The colours are so soft and subtle, and come with some seasonal favourites, like yellow and green, as well as a few surprisingly fun colours, like pink and white. The shine and shading on them are wonderful, and make for a great addition to your look, even without shadows.

There is a very special event going on right now to benefit long time resident and all around wonderful person, Maxwell Graf. ForMax is a charity event (which you can learn about here) to help him pay for expenses during an unforeseen eviction.

While there are a ton of creations,including something from my pose store, my favourite have to be the offerings from O.M.E.N and dust bunny. Not only are they adorable (who doesn’t love kangaroos?) but the quality of meshing and texturing is top notch as always.
